I ignored this blog a lot of the time, mostly because I was busy writing other things, but Jane Friedman* recently reminded me that blogs are alive, and so, because I know good advice when I hear it, I’m giving this blog a little nudge. By the way, the corollary of the above is  that I don’t know bad advice when I hear it, a shortcoming that leads to some rather long plummets. I don’t think Jane’s words come under the latter category.
